Findlay Post 3 lends a helping hand with holiday webcast to Iraq

On Monday, Dec. 21, a wife with four children ranging in ages from 5 months to the 6th grade had her computer quit working. One the major purposes of the computer was to allow the children to webcast to their Dad, who is his on second tour of duty in Iraq. This is especially important because the parents wanted for each of them to be able to watch the children opening Christmas presents.

The computer had only a few day's left on the warranty and Best Buy attempted to make repairs locally, but it was determined that the computer needed to be returned to the manufacturer. It was at this point Andy Meiure stepped in and explained to management that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get a replacement. He suggested that why not replace it and they did. Special thanks to Best Buy of Findlay and Andrew Meiure for making an active duty serviceman and his Hancock family a very Happy Christmas.

Rick Walter, First Vice Commander of Ralph D. Cole Post 3 of Findlay, visited with Mrs. Clark on Christmas Eve Day to make sure everything was working. He had the computer up and online when the other members of Post 3 arrived. The mother was speaking with the Father in Iraq. So we hope that A Happy Holiday was had as best could be. And according to the mother it was.

Now the second half of the story as "Paul Harvey says," is that the 6th grader Emily suffers from MCD and needs a special exercise bike to keep her muscles from deteriorating more. A special account has been set up for her at the 5/3 Banks under Michael Young for Emily Clark. Post 3 is working to raise $4,000.00 to purchase the bike to help this young lady lead as normal a life as possible.
