POW/MIA Committee supports National League of Families

The POW/MIA Committee met on Sept 19th at Department Headquarters.

Chairman Paul Nelson called the meeting to order. Liz Flick from the National League of Family attended the meeting and updated the Committee on upcoming events and the current status of any Ohio POW/MIAs. After deducting the cost of the pins, bonds and any other related expenses, Liz was presented a check to donate to the National League in the amount of $4,947.92 to assist in their efforts to obtain a full accounting of those service people listed as Prisoner of War or Missing in Action. Liz presented the Committee a plaque from the National League of Families on behalf of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia.

The 2009-10 pins are available from each of the Committee's 14 members, and will be given to any individual who donates $5 or more to the League.
