January 22, 1947 &endash; September 18, 2011

Edward S. Tybuszewski, a Vietnam-era veteran, was a Department Service Officer at the Cleveland VA Medical Centers at Wade Park and Brecksville for The Ohio American Legion.

He joined the staff in March 1992. Ed had responsibility for submitting claims, representing claimants and monitoring and reporting office activities with Department Headquarters.

Ed successfully developed into a problem solver for veterans, County Veterans Service Officers and VA employees.

He had a mannerism of joviality that created an atmosphere of cooperation that earned him a success rate second to none.

He served four years with the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Avionics Flightline Specialist, and later as an Electronics Instructor with the rank of Sergeant.

Ed attended Ohio State University, qualifying for an Associate Degree in Electronics.

A Legionnaire having held nearly all Post offices, he was a Silver Brigade Membership Recruiter. Ed was also a member of La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Quit Chevaux (40 et 8). He was a member of American Legion Post 421 in Fairview Park.

Ed retired on disability from the Legion and is survived by two adult children Kristan and Adam.
